Lack of Christmas Lights in the East End
Post Body

Started my on day on the 91 butler street then the 48 Arlington and then 75 Ellsworth. After 3 years of living in Allegheny County/Pittsburgh I’m really getting the hang of the Pittsburgh Regional Transit system. As I was traveling through The South Side, Oakland Shadyside, East Liberty, Highland Park and Morningside tonight it made me sad to see the lack of Christmas Decorations. On the outside of houses and the windows of businesses. Are people just so busy they don’t have time to decorate anymore? or are utility cost so high they just don’t see the point? Is it the fact that these neighborhoods have a ton of multi unit rentals, regular rentals and Air BNB etc? Of course UPMC had a gigantic display and Morningside had the prettiest and largest amount of decor.
