I have had Jayda for eight years, and I rehoused her from a rescuer. She has developed a tumor under her tongue and we have taken her to a local veterinarian here in Colorado Springs gave us an estimate for the biopsy which is $836.00. I am a veteran with a disability surviving off of very little money from social security disability and veterans disability.
CSU Flint Animal Cancer Center in Ft Collins has given us an estimate shown below and offer a possible grant of $1000-$4000.
Tentative Care Plan and Tentative Pricing 1. New patient evaluation fee: $270 2. CT scan (including anesthesia): $2700-$3500 3. Rostral mandibulectomy: $3000-$4000 ••Total possible charges (range): approximately $6000-$7800
This will be determined on our first visit which is a crisis in itself. I don’t have a vehicle and we will have to ride two buses 4 1/2 hours one way for each visit. This cost is about $45 each trip for bus fare alone.
