Syd Barrett Helped inspire Pink Floyd but didn't do much more other than that.

Post Body

I think that what Syd Barrett gave to the others in Pink Floyd was an inspiration. Multiple albums have made reference to Barrett's condition, like DSOTM and Wish You Were Here. Barret really didn't do much with the band other than the first album and I think it requires an acquired taste to enjoy. I am not trying to say he wasn't talented or anything, but he is constantly talked about in Pink Floyd circles. I am not trying to upset anyone, if you have any good Syd Barrett song suggestions you can leave a comment and I will check it out, but as it currently stands, I still can't see why he is held up as a genius. Again, no offense to anyone, maybe I lack some understanding.
