I have what I assume is a pilonidal cyst, never noticed anything before until Saturday when I sat down and suddenly it hurt and there was a lump at the top of my butt.

Monday I went to the docs and got a 7 day course of antibiotics because she confirmed it was a cyst (but not what type) and suggested it might be infected.

I got told to go back if the cyst hasn't gone away by the time I finish the antibiotics but it hurts so bad. Sitting, bending, laying down (I have to try and sleep on my side without moving), uncomfortable when walking or standing.

From what I've seen in here this is probably going to be a recurring thing now so I'm not happy about that. How do you guys manage?
