Coming back after surgery

Post Body

Just wanted to rant for a second… I had my pilonidal cyst surgically removed a little over 2 months ago, February 12th. Just a classic cystectomy, left open. Recovery went smooth and my wound closed and dried up about two weeks ago… About three days ago, so exactly two months after surgery. I started feeling pressure and tenderness in the area I had surgery, brushed it off thinking maybe it was just nerves coming back to life or something. But today I’m definitely feeling the same feelings I did before, getting worse through the day and when I looked in the mirror a few minutes ago a lump is definitely forming again. Just very disappointed, I know it’s very common for them to reoccur but I thought I was gonna be ok given how smooth my surgery and recovery went. I already scheduled a Drs appointment and am hoping to get a referral to a colorectal specialist. It just really sucks there doesn’t seem to be any other solution besides surgery, that is only like 50% successful at fixing the issue. I discovered the cleft lift procedure on here today but it seems like that is a very specialized thing very few Drs do, and I only have California state insure so I basically only get healthcare in my county.
