Hello PTA! This is my first post here and my first completed script! I'm a little nervous posting this to be completely honest. As autumn is coming up, I was inspired to make a script set in the fall with one of my favorite genres/aesthetics - dark academia, but with a wholesome spin. As much as I love the genre, with its intelligent characters in preppy outfits studying classic literature by candlelight, they tend to be darker stories that rarely end well. I wanted to take that aesthetic and make it a bit sweeter with this script, with two (somewhat pretentious) people who love each other so much that they can’t help but express it in very Shakespearean ways, lol. I hope you enjoy this script as much as I enjoyed writing it!
Summary
You and your partner are English majors at some prestigious unnamed university. It’s a beautiful autumn day - sunny with crisp air, and you both are studying at a table outside. You can tell your partner is stressed and a little cold, so you suggest to move to a common study room inside. No one else is there, so they lay on your lap while you both reflect on the nature of romantic love and the concept of soulmates, inspired by classical literature of course.
