It's cold here in the northland now, and the lakes are beginning to freeze, and our thoughts turn as they do every holiday season to ice skating. I wrote this poem a few years ago, about a girl who has never been ice skating, and a man who takes her to the rink.
Hopefully this qualifies for the Holiday21 contest -- I do consider ice skating to be a holiday tradition here! Also, full disclosure, I'm a verified script writer on GWA, but I'm not a verified VA, neither there nor here. I hope this is okay.
An Ice Skating Poem
I've included the text of the poem here, in case anyone else might want to record their version of it. I'd love to hear what others can do with it!
