Hark, there, on the mountain!
Could it be... a new script?!
It's been about a billion years since I've posted, so I thought I'd try my hand at writing again. Forgive me if it's a little rough, but I had a lot of fun writing a sequel to one of my favorite scripts I've made :) Without further ado, the summary:
You and your partner have been dating for a few months now, and things have been going swimmingly! Good dates, lots of time spent together, learning more about each other every day... But you're still hiding from them, if only a little bit. You always want to be cool and confident for them, thinking you have to be the person in your mind who you think they've fallen for or they'll leave. You've shown little glimpses of vulnerabiltiy here and there, but really those moments only scratch the surface of what you're feeling deep down inside. You want to be more open with them, but you're terrified of what might happen if you let them in and let them see how vulnerable you really are. Tonight, you're addressing a mini version of that: They're going to teach you how to swim! You never learned when you were younger and you've never been to the pool or the beach (goths hate the sun, teehee), so you've asked them to help you learn since you're embarrassed. Deep down though, is that really all this is about, or are you trying to drum up the courage for a more important conversation?
Here it is: Enjoy!
Huge thank you to /u/BonSoirAnxiety for beta reading this script for me, and to the wonderful folks over at /r/GWABackstage for offering some fantastic advice as to how to get back into writing scripts again. Without you, this wouldn't have come about, so thank you very much :)
Edit: a little last minute makes this script F4A, but any format would work if you feel comfortable changing it.
