Summary
(For the Speaker) You are a vampire who has recently developed a rare medical condition. It means you are unable to feast on the blood of the vast majority of humans. In fact, models predicting the type of blood you can drink are so grim that it's projected only 1 in a billion humans has the specific qualities in their blood for it to be edible to you. Naturally, you get a job doing blood tests and analyzing blood in the hopes of finding that 1 in a billion sample. When at last you actually find the one you're looking for you're overjoyed! Now all that's left to do is to go and collect the human so they can be yours exclusively. Every second away from them fills you with anxiety, as that human is also extremely desirable to other vampires who have also developed your condition.
(For the Listener) The technician who was working on your blood test appears on your doorstep one night. It's alarming, as usually the results are simply mailed. What's more they seem oddly obsessed with your blood? They claim it's because your blood is "special" but how special could your blood be?
