Hey lovely ladies of PTA! Here's an improv idea inspired by the amazing u/WayPastMyBedtime:
Like her, I'm also deathly afraid of needles and seeing blood move out of my body. So I'm requesting a sweet comforting audio from either a girlfriend or close friend that the listener can play during a blood draw.
You could divide it into 3 parts:
Intro: Setting in the waiting area. Featuring ample reassurance and caring support. Some talk about how important the procedure is & how quick and painless it will be.
Main event: Setting in the blood draw room. Featuring some small talk about how great and friendly the nurse seem. For the actual blood draw, perhaps some loving hype and pomp to keep the listener from passing out.
Aftercare: Ample relaxation for the listener after enduring the anxious procedure. Some words of affirmation, encouragement, and support. Lots of congrats and hugs & kisses.
Probably ~10 minutes total. Thank you so much 😊
