From the 1960 printing of Asbjørnsen and Moe's Norwegian Folk Tales, here's the Seventh Father of the House. (3m59s)
An early attempt in site recording natural ambient soundscapes because it lends a certain je ne sais quoi to story telling, this was part of a test to learn how to properly microphone an environment. Turns out recording running water is much harder than I expected, it mostly turns into white noise.
There's more of these to go, and they will be posted into the future if anyone cares, and in a longer format so you can "enjoy" more than four minutes at a go.
