Hey all, I usually write scripts for gwa but I wanted to give my voice a go because it sounds like it could be quite enjoyable, and I had loads of fun writing and recording a 9-minute verification here a little while back (couldn't help myself haha)...
So I wanted to pick a script to do, and the first one I saw was a cute little coffee shop scene by u/Kine_ki
As a male, and a writer, I rapidly ended up rewriting the script to my own tastes, so I don't think any of the original dialogue is left intact. It's substantially longer too, I believe. However, the 'feel' of the original script, and the broad topics of conversation are still there and were good starting points for my own writing (though it turns out writing and acting a natural sounding, intimate conversation, while only having one voice to work with, is pretty difficult, but having gone to all the trouble I decided, after some deliberation, to record and upload this anyway). I also added a little something at the end which I thought was a nice way to finish the encounter.
Also please bear in mind that I'm no actor, and I feel I have to keep my voice low for privacy concerns, which is a real hindrance to a convincing, unselfconscious performance. Given these limitations, it is what it is.
So, thank you Kine_ki for kindly allowing me to credit her by saying that this audio was inspired by, and adapted from, her lovely script.
It's here.
