Greetings wonderful people of PTA. How are you all doing? Well I hope. These books of short stories by Andrew Lang (I donโt think he actually wrote them but gathered, retold and translated them) are something I found a long time ago but I never got a chance to read. I want to buy all 25 books. Iโm sure they will look amazing on a shelf and reading them would be wonderful. I mean The Blue Fairy Book was published in 1889, and is the first book in the collection, so the stories are a little disturbing. Especially considering they were meant for children. But anyway, I wanted to record something and this is the first thought I had. Well second, originally planned to read another story but as you would be able to tell if you listen to this audio, Iโm not every good at pronouncing things and reading out loud. That was a lot more difficult than this one was. Maybe I will read that book in the future but I will have to personally read it first. In saying that, reading this story for the audio was the first time I read this story myself so you are getting real reactions. I also kept in my mistakes as it made it more real I guess. The minimal editing I did was when the phone rang, the doorbell rang and I had to get a drink of water. I also put in some commentary. Let me know if these things are off putting. Regardless, I enjoyed recording this audio and am thinking about reading more stories from this collection. What do you guys think? Please let me know if you liked this audio. Please let me know if you hated it and how I can improve. Hope you enjoy. Sweet dreams.
