ELI5 Blacklisting More Domains....
Post Body

So I have installed and setup pihole successfully, but wanting to improve it I would like to add additional sites to the blacklist. More specifically a few of the sites listed on /u/WaLLy3K list.

Though I used a thorough video tutorial to setup my pihole, I cannot for the life of me understand what I'm missing to blacklist additional sites.

I opened up the desktop on pihole and manually opened up the adlists.list text file, but could not save over it when I pasted in more domains.

I tried running "cp /etc/pihole/adlists.default /etc/pihole/adlists.list" in the command prompt but it wouldn't let me save after copying into the command prompt. I tried this command as is and with sudo: "sudo cp /etc/pihole/adlists.default /etc/pihole/adlists.list"

I tried understanding and pasting into the web interface where it says blacklist but it doesn't seem to want to allow me to add lists as they are formatted with Wally's lists...

I am very new to networking and linux software so I'm sure I'm missing something VERY basic but could someone please help explain what I'm missing?
