Rescued a gravely injured baby this Sunday and will keep keep him until healed, and maybe a bit more if he likes me, but I can't give him a pigeon life with buddies to talk to and plenty of room ro fly, so I'll take him somewhere nice.
Vet said sanctuaries are not as good as a caring adopter is because there's a lot of birds and that makes it harder for an appropriate caring, they can't see their poops unless they isolate them specifically, stuff like that. How true is this? Does it depend on the sanctuary? What do I have to know?
Food: little guy is 15 days old and weighs around 150g. As per vet recommendations I'm tube feeding him 15ml of Harrison's juvenile formula every 6 hours. Consistency is slightly more watery than a yogurt. Is this enough? Do babies sometimes keep crying for food after being fed an appropriate amount? I appreciate the help
