I Know Pigeon Flirting is Aggressive, but…

I’ve been caring for a married pair for a couple months now, and I recently introduced my adopted bird to them. She has her own cage that’s her own space, and generally when I’m in the room I let them all roam around the room freely. However, I was surprised when the male went after her and tried to mate with her. There was one time when she was fine with it, but most other times she’s running away and he’s biting her neck feathers. I know this is a male behavior of trying to get her back to the nest, but earlier today it sounded like a serious fight was happening - turns out they got caught in a larger planter I had. Thankfully everyone was fine. Should I be worried about how aggressive he is? Or am I overthinking it all? Any insight would be helpful.
