nipple piercing experience

Just wanted to give my experience on a recent nipple piercing and my healing progress so far, I'm at 3 weeks. I hope it may help someone or help ease some anxiety. Also wanna give shout out to Black Bird Tattoo & Piercing in Clearfield Ut, Cameron has 23 yrs experience and has been amazing! He helped calm my nerves by drawing out and explaining the process, he took time with getting everything measured, checked and rechecked.

I would say do your research! I called around different shops, asked their experience, go online and look at reviews. Go on different platforms look over their work. What kind piercings they had done before? Do they have any references/ask past clientele? What can I expect when I come in? What are their aftercare steps or can i come back in anytime im worried for you to check? what can i expect while healing? Etc...

It hurts! You're getting pierced but, pain tolerance may vary. For me one side hurt worse than the other, the right side was ok didn't hurt too bad but, my left side is more sensitive so I ended up screaming out a bit.

Personally after piercing it was painful and tender. Just touching them hurt, sports bra was a no go for me and a big shirt is no good too since the friction of the fabric. I've been ok with a undershirt/tank, not too tight but just nothing too loose.

Ibuprofen will be your friend for the swelling not the pain. Ice packs also for the swelling. I'm 420 friendly so that has also helped me for the pain.

I clean the piercing twice a day with NeilMed NeilCleanse Piercing Aftercare. Crusties come off in the shower. On the topic of shower I use two towels to help prevent getting caught and end up hurting myself so I use a small one for around the breast and with caution...

My breast are dense sleeping on back is a struggle, having the weight of your own boobs crushing you during the night 😔... I'd highly recommend a boob pillow(one that you put between your boobs to separate or a breast feeding pillow) to help sleep on your side, however be wary that it may cause swelling so keep an eye on it and don't be afraid to go back to the piercer to get a longer bar changed out. I've had mine changed thrice now but, healing is going great! Keep in mind each boob will heal differently and may even swell differently.

They have become my favorite piercing though and love em.
