How long does it take for a new piercing to close after 4 months?

Post Body

I'm a man and I'm getting both my ear lobes pierced. I'll leave the stud piercing earrings in for 4 months.

However, after 4 months, there is a professional event that I need to attend where I would rather not have any earrings in my ears. The event will last around 8-10 hours during the day for 4 days.

If I take out my new piercing after 4 months of getting my ears pierced, for 8-10 hours a day for 4 days, will the piercings close?

After coming back home from the event, I can put the earrings back into my lobes while I sleep during these 4 days.

Good idea or bad idea?
