Yes, I know that all over this sub it is talked about to never use tea tree oil on any type of piercing and that it is extremely bad for it. But I am curious as to why? The only reason I am asking is I have gotten my nose pierced at the end of October and have been struggling with a bump on the side of it to this day. I have posted here multiple times, I have taken all advice from me, I have read all stickied posts of what to do and what not to do, what to clean with, what not to clean with, types of metal to use, etc. But NONE of those things got rid of the bump. There were times it would start to layer away like an onion but when it was at its smallest, it would never go away from that tiny bump. I got so fed up, I just said fuck it and let me try tea tree oil. I diluted it with water and use it that morning and after noon, then I even used non-diluted oil on it at night. Guess what? My nose bump is completely gone, my nose looks better than ever, my skin is no longer flaky and dry from the salt solution, etc. Everything that I've been told to do, didn't work, but one of the things I was told to stay away from is the only thing that works?
