Hiya folks. I got my septum pierced on Monday (May 10th), along with my ears. I have a history of ear infections from piercings since I went to places like Claire's and the mall. Got the septum done at a professional tat/piercing place and thought 'what the hell? Let's try the ears again.' I just wanted some advice of if I should be doing the sea salt soak twice a day? My piercer gave me the salt and instructions to soak my ears and nose twice a day, but this sub and google say that LITHA (leaving it the hell alone) is better? I really love this septum piercing and definitely don't want to get an ear infection like I got when I was younger. After a few days of the soaks my skin around my nose was irritated and my ears itched like nobody's business. A little bit of research said the salt soak might be the culprit, so thought I'd just ask for myself. Any suggestions?
