Question
Post Body

Please excuse me if this (and I’m sure it has) been gone over before many times. I have looked and still want to ask.

I got my nose pierced (nostril) in October. I put a surgical steel hoop in it today for the first time. It doesn’t hurt. It twinges a bit in pain, but nothing horrible. I went to take the ring out to put the stud back in (because I started freaking myself out, of course) and it’s one that has a hinge and I just can’t seem to get the darn thing to open. I am pretty sure it’s the same gauge as the piercing screw stud (9mm), so i don’t want the hole to get “smaller” (can they do that?)

Also - this is April. I got it done in October. It’s probably healed and won’t close now, am I right or am I just stupid. I can post a pic if you want.

Just give me your opinions. I would rather just leave the hoop in. It’s fine and now I know for sure it’s not going to just “slip out” because I can’t even get the darn thing out. It’s guaranteed to be safe due to the fact it’s surgical steel - I did my homework.

The place I go for piercings is closed now due to the pandemic. Peerrrrfffeeccttt time for me to do this, huh???? Please help. Calm my fears.
