I got my septum done months ago and didn't think to ask what gauge it was done in, I bought some super cute 16g jewelry thinking that was it but when I held it up it looked bigger than what's in my nose currently. I'm anxious to change the jewelry for the first time period and I don't want to do it wrong and traumatize the piercing by shoving the wrong size in. Is 16 -> 18 negligible? I'm going to call my piercer but they're closed until April 7th and I'd like to swap it out before then.
TLDR have no idea what size my septum piercing was done in, bought 16g jewelery and it looked bigger than what's in it. can i do it?
