Hey all. Got my nostril pierced about a month ago, give or take (March 11).
Basically since I've gotten it, I've just been sick. 2 days after I got it, I came down with a really nasty cold and bronchitis. I tried not to mess with it or blow my nose too much and it seemed okay. I recovered for a bit and my nostril was fine.
But this week I got sick again and, after being tested at the doctor, I'm told that I have the flu. My nose has been running, I've been sneezing like crazy, and because of that, I've ended up blowing my nose a lot and once or twice, the piercing has gotten snagged on a tissue or something.
Now I have this little irritation bump next to the ball of the piercing on the top. It's slightly sore but it's not really bothersome. I'm worried that, being sick, it's going to continue to be irritated though.
Do I need to take it out? Will the irritation bump heal on its own? Should I up the amount of saline soaks? I'm a newbie at this so any advice is welcome.
