So apparently I've been using table salt. Possible infection?

My nipple piercings are about 3 weeks old. Apparently the last few days my sss has actually been made with table salt (guilty party lost the sea salt given by the piercer, making my own soak from now on). I did notice my skind getting dry, sloughing more. Now I was cleaning my nip and bit of yellow sludge came out. I had just bumped it and it came out. Everthing else seems the normal off white color. Should be worried?
