So I got my ear lobes pierced back at the end of March. This was my first piercing ever so I've made some mistakes along the way. I've heard that it takes 6 months for them to heal up normally but I've definitely done some things that have delayed healing.

About two months in I tried to change them. That made them bleed a good bit. I've snagged them on clothing a few times. I got lazy about cleaning for a while and they maybe got infected briefly? (Little bit of pus and swelling) But that cleared up fast after I started cleaning them again. I've also taken them out, thoroughly cleaned the earrings and the area around the holes, and put them back in maybe 4 times or so since getting them done. I've used water with antibacterial soap for cleaning the entire time so far and soaked the earrings themselves in 91% isopropyl alcohol each time I took them out for cleaning.

I've already learned by browsing here in the last 15 minutes that they would normally take 6 months to fully heal which would put them being fully healed by now. However I've also learned that I shouldn't have been taking them out to clean them at all and I shouldn't have been using soapy water either. The last time I removed them for cleaning was earlier today before coming here and the left one bled a tiny itty bitty bit which tells me that they aren't fully healed still, likely because of all the afforementioned mistakes. The right one didn't bleed at all this time. Last time, however, the left one seemed perfectly fine, no bleeding at all, and the right one was the one that bled a little. The amount of blood from the right one last time was much more then the amount from the left one this time. I only even noticed the blood from the left one because of the tiniest little red dot on the paper towel I dried them with.

So my question is, how much longer should I wait at this point before trying to take them out again? Had I not made those mistakes I would be in the clear and I'm kinda salty with myself about it as it is and wanna make sure I actually wait long enough this time so there aren't any more delays. I'm not gonna go to my piercer for advice because they were the one who told me I can change them at two months and who told me to use soapy water. Also they were pierced with a needle rather then a piercing gun but the jewelry they put in is a locking butterfly clip. I've also found browsing here that it should actually be something internally threaded and that the butterfly clip ones aren't good to use for healing any piercing ever.
