Had small hoop in Christina piercing - closed 20 years ago. Redo?

Post Body

I had what is now called a Christina piercing (vertical holes joined by a hoop at the upper join of my outer labia) 20 years ago and had to take it out when I was in the military. Been thinking about getting it redone, but people tell me that best practice is to do a semi-curved bar there now, not a hoop. When I look at pictures of the curved bar, it’s very long! My original piercing was much more like an ear piercing…. Just far enough over the skin to wear a 1/2 inch diameter hoop. But I really hate how the little bars look and really just want back what I used to have. Can anyone shed light on this - if it’s feasible, really advised against, etc…. Picture of someone else’s added for a lovely example of what I think I don’t want.
