So i have a labret in the center of my lip. And I have a black barbel with spikes in the piercing. Is it normal for my lips to dry out and get sore with this type of jewelry? I mean like once I apply chapstick the pain subsides.

Then it come back each time my lip dries out.

And the inside of my lip is a little sore. I had a normal stud in for a while after my piercer said I could change it.

So I changed it way after the date I could.

I've had this piercing for 2 months. Should I change back to the stud?
