We have a cheap Casio electric piano that was bought for the kids to play but it collects dust in their family room so I have decided to re-locate it to my space and use it. The feel of the piano keys is actually decent but the internal speakers and built-in sounds are awful.
I used to have a music studio so have True Pianos which Iām running the piano through and lit to my powered monitors. MUCH better sounding but Iām looking for a much more simple and streamlined setup that gets me away from having my computer setup near the piano in its new space.
Iām curious if I can get by using Pianoteq 8 in iPad but I have no idea how to hook it up and then get sound back out to my powered Adams monitors.
Is this likely my solution and I just need to find the right interface to go between my piano that only has a USB B connection, no MIDI in/out, and my iPad with a lightening connector? I might upgrade my iPad soon so would be then working with USB C, but still not sure how to go about it.
Thinking this adapter would likely work on my existing iPad to send MIDI to iPad via USB B to USB A, provide power to iPad and allow audio out via 1/8 stereo jack to powered speakers.

Any advice?
