Scale Learning

Post Body

I’ve been playing piano for a few months and wanted some advice on what scales I should learn and in which order. I learned C Major first, and stayed focused on practicing that one for quite a while just to build up coordination. Now I’ve learned C Minor as well and I’m aiming to learn a new scale every week. I considered just learning each Major and minor going up the keyboard, D Major then D minor and so on and so forth. I have the interval patterns for Major and minor scales sticky noted onto my keyboard, and I’ve just been applying that to the root note in order to learn the corresponding scale. Is this a good way to learn scales? I’m self taught and thus would love to hear wisdom from people with much more experience and knowledge than me. Thanks!
