I am taking piano lessons and my piano instructor points out mistakes I make and explains them. Answers any questions I’ve got pertaining to the music I’m playing. I asked him how to practice more effectively and his answer was exactly as I’ve been doing, but I feel a little directionless. Right now I play the entire song of whatever page I’m playing through until I can play it perfectly with a metronome and without before moving on. My progress has been incredibly slow I feel. I’ve been at it for two months and I’ve gotten through half of Accelerated Piano Adventures 1. I’m not sure if I’m on a good pace or not. I’m also not sure if I’m practicing effectively. Any tips on how to practice effectively and accelerate progress?
