Hey,
I haven't taken formal lessons in years and I've dug out my old sonata book with the intention of learning it all....eventually.
I'm having particular trouble in measure 31 (edited by heinrich schenker).
The measure has a trilled doublesharp f octave with a (mordent?gracenote) leading into a g# octave.
The suggested fingering simply says "4". Not only do I find it extremely akward getting the 4 onto the f##, but my 2 finger is uncomfortable reaching the e#. I've found that the most comfortable arrangement is 3 on e#, 5 on f## and 4 on g# during the ornamentation. However, I can't get this even or up to speed. Is there a better fingering? Or do I really just need to put a large amount of time into this ornament?
Thanks for the suggestions
