Training pay
Post Body

Hi all. I’m a new grad PA and recently accepted a job offer in UC. Note I have not yet signed a contract with them, only the offer letter. The job is 3-4 shifts per week, 11 hour shifts. Must work 4 weekends a month, and 1-2 on call shifts. They’re offering $35/hour while on training “bootcamp”, and then once able to see pts independently will be making $65/hour. They project that the training period can be from 6-12 weeks. There’s no sign on bonus. They offer 4 weeks of PTO, pt productivity bonus (once independent), on call differential, cover 100% malpractice with tail end, $2k Annual CME. Are these good benefits? I ask because I also recently got called about an interview in CT Surg, and I’m not sure whether I’m wasting their time or mine.. not sure what the benefits are for the CT surg but also I’m sure I’ll be working heinous hours in CT surg. So what are your thoughts on the job I’ve technically already accepted?
