Has anyone here opened their own practice? Itβs legal in my own state. It sounds like it could be a way to regain control over my schedule, albeit with a trade off of having to figure out supervision and clinic details. If so, what has it been like? Anything you wish you knew before starting?
This is actually somewhat common in psychiatry! There is a group who walks PAs through starting a practice, but it costs money. This is the website: https://www.certifiedpaconsulting.com/. The PA that owns her practice is Kathryn Harris Werner and she has had her own telepsych practice in Georgia since 2019. She is one of their people, but their other people seem really knowledgeable too.
