Hello everyone! Just looking for some quick education and advice. I’ve read a few posts about locum and PRN gigs.
I’m a PA in the military full time but looking to supplement my income because I’m paying for IVF completely out of pocket. I work Family Med and only have one year experience. Serving in Texas.
Not sure if this is worth looking into- How friendly is TX with PAs?
Thanks so much.
Hi! Congrats on doing IVF! I’ve done it too. I’m also in Texas, but I’m civilian and not military. I’ve been doing psych for 5 years.
I would say don’t do PRN yet with one year of family med experience. It’s not just about your clinical knowledge, but the changing office politics. It’s actually tough and it might hurt your license. Maybe think of something non-clinical and part-time for now.
Best of luck!
