Does it actually get better?
Post Body

I graduated a year ago and have been working in urgent care. I have constant anxiety the night before I work, even after being on meds. I’m constantly under pressure to see more patients, they want 2.5 patients per hour, I’m at 2 per hour on a good day, most days 1.8-1.9, and this is even after firing the scribes and having to take on their duties, OH and changing to a new EMR. They give out bonuses only to those who can hit 2.5 patients per hour. I feel defeated and incompetent because I can’t speed up. There are good things about the job, like not working on major holidays, no nights, 3-4 shifts per week. I’m looking to changing jobs, but also have a lot of hesitancy because new doesn’t mean better. I constantly wish I could just quit this whole profession now, but I’m in so much debt because of student loans. I could use some words of encouragement or just someone telling me I’m doing a good job ☹️ I’m sorry to complain
