How to deal with patient complaints…
Post Body
I’m a newer (one year out) PT and got my first patient complaint today and feeling like a failed the patient a little. To summarize the patient came in with chronic pain asking for massages and I explained that we were going to work on some graded exercises and initiated pain science education and educated that I’m not a massage therapist. They didn’t love this and spent over an hour complaining to my manger and filing a complaint with the hospital. Feeling like I failed as a PT
