Okay I have now seen 500 “TikToks” advising people to create an LLC as a way to save $$$ with taxes (tax write offs). I have no idea if this is even the right page to ask this question, but I’m a DPT in Tennessee and I’m not happy with my current salary. I don’t like owing the government (loans) more money than I make yearly and have been interested in opening a cash based mobile PT job for 1-2 years now and am wondering if obtaining an LLC should be my first step. And if anyone on here does have their own LLC, and has any advice/tips in regards to the Pros/Cons please direct message me on here or simply reply. I don’t want to do anything illegal, but literally saw a video of a therapist today driving a 2021 Porsche that he leased through his LLC and apparently writes off each payment. And he meets with empty building owners while beaching in Miami and writes it off as a business vacation. And he also allegedly pays his kids “salary” and apparently it’s all a tax write off..? Is it really that easy? It seems pretty illegal from afar.
