Self Care After Wild Day

Outpatient therapist here that had a severely depressed patient show up with some passive thoughts that had a full blown melt down in clinic. Before we jump to the not our scope, they’re still another human that we can’t really just walk away from. I dealt with their crisis and got them set up with resources but ended up behind about three patients and just had to keep trudging along. When patients like these crop up how do you keep your day moving on?
