Got here on the 15th of April, checked in everything was good. Until we realised there was no safe in the room, we had a ground floor room close to the reception so thought it would be fine to leave our cash in the room, the cash was in an envelope in one of our checked in luggage. When we arrived I counted the money and there was exactly Ā£950.
Fast forward to check out date and we only have Ā£750. Contacted the management who checked the cctv, and 2 staff entered our room on 17th for house keeping, and were in the room for 10min. The rooms in this hotel are very small, can check the other reviews to confirm this and would probably not take a single member of staff more than 10min to clean it.
Contacted the ātourist policeā who came to the hotel and spoke to management and said to us that Itās our fault that we did not take the money on our island hopping tours. Classic case of victim blaming, did not expect much from them as we heard a lot about corruption in Philippines.
