Hey everyone,
We’re rolling out some significant updates to how we handle verification and enforce rules in the community.
1. Changes to Verification
We’re no longer verifying accounts proactively. Instead, verification will now occur after an account is flagged and subjected to review due to reports. This change allows us to focus our efforts where they matter most—on accounts that potentially violate our community guidelines.
2. Tougher Stance on Rule Breakers
Alongside this change, we’re implementing stricter measures for rule enforcement. Those found breaking the rules after review will face hefty bans. This isn’t about being punitive; it’s about ensuring a fair and respectful community for everyone.
Why These Changes?
The proactive verification system wasn’t as effective as we hoped and was open to exploitation. By shifting verification to a post-report process, we can allocate resources more effectively and maintain the integrity of the community.
We know this is a big change, and it might take some time to adjust. If you have any questions, feedback, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to share them in the comments or reach out to the mod team directly.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make this community better for everyone.
We want to hear from you! Let us know if there’s anything we can clarify or improve with this new system.
