Is it just me growing old or Christmas is not like before na talaga? I mean I can't feel the vibe, can't even feel the December breeze outside and hear the faint sound of Christmas songs - specifically Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you." 🤣

Christmas is my favorite holiday. Across different walks of life, lahat doing their very best to make it special for their loved ones. Regardless if they have less to give, they are giving.

I just miss the Christmas rush where all people are busy and moving on a fast pace but you can see joy and excitement on their faces because they get to celebrate the holidays with their friends and families. Weeks of joy, love, and laughter.

Now all I see are people, including me, burdened by the fact na it's gonna be really hard to push through this season coming from a series of lockdowns, economic shitstorm, and personal battles.

Personally, I feel bad celebrating it knowing na may mga kinakapos, knowing na may mga tao na itinutulog na lang ang Noche Buena at Media Noche. Knowing na may tatay o nanay na OFW na sa videocall lang makakapiling mga anak nila, knowing na may mga naka-duty on establishments making it possible for others na magkaroon ng masayang holidays. It pains me. But that's life.

This Christmas, dama man or hindi, baka pwede mag give back tayo sa people around us. I SUGGEST, INSTEAD OF SECRET SANTA/EXCHANGE GIFT SA OFFICE NIYO, collect na lang funds tapos buy budget noche buena baskets. Give it to others! Make their Christmas happy din like ours. Lalo na kids! Don't let them feel what I'm feeling about Christmas.

Actually, wala direction this post. It hit me lang na lahat dapat masaya sa Christmas. Kung filthy rich lang ako. Jusko lahat ng batang kapos may pupunitin na gift wrapper.
