Getting into the field
Post Body

HIA

I'm new to the world of photojournalism, I'm a photography major right now working on going to school for journalism. I just had so questions for people in the field right now and thought I would ask here since might be a good place to ask. I'm hoping to go to the U of MN so if anyone went there A big plus as I would to know all the info I can get .

  1. did you go to school for journalism? what kind of school/ schooling did you go to and do.
  2. do you think people going into the field need to have a full degree to get a job?
  3. what classes would you suggest being a must to take (if someone cant do all the degree classes.)?
  4. As a freelancer is it hard to find work as a photojournalist?
  5. What are somethings you didnt really think about when getting into the field that you wish you had?
