How hard is it to repair a Sigma 24mm Lens?

Post Body

So, I left my camera on my desk and my daughter was able to snatch it and accidentally drop it (she's only 1 - 1/2...so it's really my fault). Anywho, between her and my own clumsiness, this is the third time that it drops AND the autofocus breaks. I sent it to Sigma for repairs the first two times, but I'm hoping that this time I could fix it myself. The camera/lens fell from about 2 feet, and a very big fall, but enough to cause the Autofocus to stop working. Does anyone have experience with this type of malfunction and how to repair it? I'm really trying to avoid the ~$150 repair bill again.

EDIT: It's a 24mm 1/4f Art series lens.
