My nephew's wife contacted me on Facebook and wants to pay me to do Easter portraits of them and their 2 year old. I really want to do this and I've done a few okay portraits before just at family gatherings, but I mostly do nature photography. I've never done much as far as posing people though. The thing that's worrying me is that I don't have an external flash and even if I did buy one, I've never used one before, so I'll probably just be using natural sunlight outdoors. I also don't have the slightest clue what I should charge them. They are family, so I don't want to charge them full price what others around here would and I don't have the equipment/experience they do, but I could really use some money right now. I'm just having a hard time finding out what others charge to get an idea what I should charge. I don't mind getting paid for taking the photos and editing them, but she'll probably want prints made and I've never done that before either. Do you think I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. What should I do to pull this off? How much do you think I should charge?
