Going to see Northern Lights with no photography experience, need advice.
Post Body

Hi everyone

I'm going to Sweden in November to hopefully see the Northern Lights. My previous camera experience is limited to my trusty Canon Ixus V.

I'm a beginner and so I don't need cutting edge equipment (I hope) I guess I need something with a long exposure, that won't freeze at night time and is as "point and click" as possible.

It doesn't need to be new, or sexy, am I kidding myself I can get away with this for less than $500AUD?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, and in return, I will hopefully return with some photos I'm proud of to show you.
