I just spent $150 to replace my screen and I blame UBIF's crappy install for my new screen falling out, making me fumble my phone to grab the screen (didn't know how securely the ribbon cable was attached to the phone) and dropping the whole thing on tile...
Seems from replies to my previous post that I'm SOL as far as having UBIF rectify this. I'd have to fork over another 150 to get fixed. These phones are going used for less than that...
So at this point I'd rather move on and get another newer phone. The only issue is that I have a lot of stuff on there I would like to keep and I wouldn't feel comfortable selling someone a device with all my stuff on it.
So I'm hoping there is software I can get on my PC that I can use to retrieve my data and then I can probably charge it, boot it up, and use google's "find my phone" feature to wipe the device. Edit: Just wanted to add that if there's a better wipe method available to make the data harder to restore that'd be preferable,
