I found the Best of Thread https://www.reddit.com/r/phoenix/wiki/bestof/ so that helps a lot. But doesn't hurt to ask for recommendations. No kid activities, no bars. What's left?
Morning - some place to jog/walk while it is cool out. And drop in Yoga for old out of shape people.
Day - shopping at places where you can get stuff like interesting hats, mala beads, hand made junk, something like Cleveland's West Side Market http://westsidemarket.org/ or the Peddlers Market in NJ (https://www.visitnj.org/nj-farmers-flea-markets/peddlers-warehouse-marketplace)
Then sit with a board game in a coffee shop and people watch. Best of says Copper Star CoffeeWandering around a museum would be great. I hear mixed on aquarium.
Night - We are not really bar people. Are we stuck with movies and meetup?
Other - Anything in the Buddhist line of stuff - sanghas, temples, such - is a bonus
(edit: added 'other')
