Hi Everyone,

I got dinged by another car today while I was standstill in a parking queue. No one was hurt and there were minor damages to the bumper. I intend to reach out to the other persons car insurance provider and get it fixed. The other driver did not take or ask for my details, but I got her insurance policy and raised a claim for her mistake.

I tried looking up the DMV website to lodge a complaint regarding the collision but I could not find any. I tried their helpline number as well and they were closed today.

Is the police report mandatory for all minor or major car accidents and if so could any of you please guide me on how to file a DMV report online?
