For context, I’m supposed to be asleep right now since I have a career-defining meeting later at 9:30am. Instead, I’m pacing in my living room, smoking cigarettes in rapid succession. I told myself I will wake up at 5am so I can leave the house at 7am to drive to my appointment without hurrying too much.
