I'm currently stuck in a boring meeting, and this might be a spur-of-the-moment post, but here goes:

I'm looking for a prospective friend whose schedule is flexible enough to accommodate random reading meetups, errand runs, midweek drinks, and maybe even dine-and-dash weeknights when my workload is crazy but I feel like chatting with someone for a bit. I haven't gone out at all these past few months (except for work-related events), and at this point, I'd like to have some semblance of normalcy in my social life. And, truth be told, I've been feeling a bit lonely, too. Which is inexplicable because most of the time, I am surrounded by people. But I digress. Below are some things about me:

1. Into sci-fi and high fantasy books and films

3. I'm socially awkward, so please don't be too aggressive because I might literally run from you

4. I've a tendency to get really clingy, so if we become close friends, I'd probably message you every hour of every day (joke!)

5. I spent most of my life studying and I'm somewhat sheltered, so I struggle with some things that are commonplace to others, such as crossing the street, dealing with dirty jokes, etc.

6. You'll probably find me boring bec I'm quiet most of the time, and when I start reading a good book, I tend to forget everything (including your existence)

7. Might come off as maarte bec I'm laway-conscious, I don't like dusty or musty places, and I am generally finicky when it comes to food. However, once you get to know me, I hope you'll see that I'm a very caring and sweet friend.

5. You're okay with just sitting at a café and reading

6. Understanding and patient; please know that when I'm working, it takes me forever to respond to messages

7. Willing to spend time with my friends (depending on their availability) for random activities, such as going to the movies or to museums, drinking, attending musicals, lectures, or the opera, or trying out new restaurants
